For this third session, CLAP.IMPROLAB invites the quartet INNEC to take the stage for a unique live set, before opening the space to our signature free improvisation jam.
INNEC is an Amsterdam-based quartet exploring new paths in music. With their name inspired by Wassily Kandinsky's concept of "Inner Necessity," they express a desire to strive for purity in music while questioning past conventions and remaining deeply rooted in the present.
The band exists at the intersection of contemporary music and experimental jazz, and is made up of four young musicians from Spain, Slovenia, Sweden, and Denmark.
Their approach blends rhythmically and melodically complex compositional frameworks with free improvisation, allowing the strong individual voices of each musician to merge into a unified whole.
