New Amsterdam Trio
The New Amsterdam Trio is a group of 3 dedicated musicians with diverse backgrounds in classical, jazz, world and contemporary classical music that come together to present performances that cross genre boundaries. A concert with the NAT includes art songs from Bach to Bernstein, freely improvised music influenced by old and modern jazz and classical traditions, and American folk songs all presented with virtuosity and uncompromising attention to the acoustic experience of the audience. Especially for this concert on Good Friday countertenor David Whitwall will perform 2 arias and a recitation from the Mattheus Passion.
